Every Wednesday and Thursday evening (6pm – 9pm) Open Country offer adults with disabilities the opportunity for group cycle rides out in the great local countryside. We ride between 8 – 22 miles every night, with a pub stop thrown in to refresh and refuel. Our back riders often lack the confidence or ability to ride a solo bike, and our volunteer pilots are keen cyclists who also pedal the bike, as well as steer, change gears, etc. Everybody is just there for the love of cycling and it is a great way to meet new friends, loose weight, build up muscle strength and improve your mental wellbeing. We also have some other adapted bikes including our electric-assist wheelchair bike.
We are always looking for new people to join in with us.
