Inclusive Cycling Activities
We are proud to make this event inclusive for everyone. Experience Community will be at the park offering wheelchair users the chance to try out a range of adapted cycles. These specially designed cycles ensure that individuals with mobility challenges can experience the joy and freedom of cycling in a safe and supportive environment. Knowledgeable staff will be on hand to assist and demonstrate how to use the adapted cycles, providing a unique opportunity to enjoy the ride without barriers.
Additionally, Open Country will provide tandem rides for those with visual impairments or learning difficulties. This inclusive initiative ensures that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can participate in the event. Experienced tandem pilots will guide visually impaired riders, fostering a sense of partnership and trust. For those with learning difficulties, the tandem rides offer a supportive and enjoyable way to experience the thrill of cycling, with the reassurance of having a skilled cyclist alongside them.
Free Bike Tagging Service
Do you want to make it easier to recover your bike if it’s lost or stolen? Bring your bike along to the event and have it tagged and recorded on the national BikeRegister system for free! This invaluable service involves marking your bike with a unique identifier, which is then registered in a national database accessible by police forces and recovery services across the country.
By having your bike tagged, you significantly increase the chances of it being returned to you if it is ever lost or stolen. The BikeRegister system not only deters thieves, who are aware of the enhanced likelihood of recovery and potential for tracing, but also provides law enforcement with a reliable means of identifying and returning stolen bikes to their rightful owners.
This service provides peace of mind, allowing you to enjoy the event and your cycling activities without the constant worry of bike theft. Our dedicated team will be on-site to guide you through the simple process, answer any questions you may have, and ensure that your bike is properly registered.
